World Cup 2010 - England's Opponents
England hope to qualify for the World Cup 2010 finals in South Africa.
Having failed to reach the Euro 2008 finals and droped in the world
rankings, is this likely??
England have been drawn into Group 6. Being a second seeded team they
will find it more difficualt to qualify than previously. Opponents are
Croatia, Ukraine, Andorra, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

Croatia
Ranked 10th in the world at the time of the draw, Croatia will pose significant problems for England. The Croats played
against England in the Euro 2008 qualifiers and won both games. England will be out for revenge, but can they rise to
the challenge.

Ukraine
Ukraine are a decent team. Ranked 30th in the world, they will not present the same threat as the Croats.
However they have very good home form and will be no pushover.

One of the 'easy' teams. Almost a definite six points for England. So, expect a win and a draw?

Not one of the strongest footballing nations. Again, a 'diddy' team that should pose no problems for any of the top three. But, could they
cause an upset?

Andorra
Andorra are one of the worst teams in the world. Six points for England without doubt. But all the other teams should
do likewise, so they are not likely to affect England's chances in any way.
